HARD DISK CRASH (Sun Jun 23)

Well I have things perty well cleaned up now, (July 20) but lots of
data files are still missing descriptions. I will bring them back up
little by little.

YOU MAY RESUME UPLOADS NOW, ---BUT--- Please try to keep it minimal,
this is not a BIG BBS (small upload partition). Also I have limmited
time to review them, and they keep piling up. I still have to look at
much of May and all June uploads and write new descriptions for them.

If you have 20 files of pictures, try to pick the 1 or 2 you think are
the best. Lets try for QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY. Thanks, Jay

"Comments To Sysop command (C) is now working !!! Somehow the
"Sysop" (me) got deleted from the user list!!! 8^(### Jay

Gather ye rose-buds while ye may,
 Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today,
 Tomorrow will be dying.

Then be not coy, but use your time,
And while ye may, go marry:
For having lost but once your prime,
 You may for ever tarry.

Jay Miner (SYSOP) is now here to chat 8^)###
Hi there Jerry
hi jay i am uling som eHAM-e stuff as i have just obtained one...

Great!!! Did you get the "Kick" file OK, that was a big one??

looks ok as far as i can see. i will have to unlzh it to really see.

DMS I think it was, do you have the DMS uncompressor??

yes i do. have you seen HAM-E yet?

No I dont have a HamE box, (it does requir a box right??)

yep. both DCTV and HAM-E do.

Do you have a prefference between them??

oh yessss. I have seen both and the HAM-E is just as great with the
collors and twice the sharpness..

Interesting. Its hard for a BBS sysop like me to get all the boxed
he needs to check out pics in the various new modes!!! most frustrating.

i know . i had the same problem. I have a booyleg copy of the convert
for DCTV if you (and i meen you) would like to have it.

That would be very usefull. I hear it doesnt have even goood resolution,
but it would allow me to check them out. Right now I have no way.

what I do is use the DCTV convert to convert DCTV to ham to view
and BlackBelt has a public domain callec CVT that does HAM-E to 24
bit so you can view it with digi0view. whew. its a long way ariund...

That would help a lot!!!. if you send me anything like that that
is confidential, put it in AREA 2 (personal transfers) with my name
kon it. No one else can see it.

bravo. i will do it. the pd i will just ul for shareing..

Great, thanks a lot. Glad you like your HAM E. I have been following
it closely for quite a while. Might get one some day.

give Ben Williams a call at black belt and i would expect he would
make you a deal. I had the luck of sending him some stuff he needed
and he sent me on for my pains...

Ill do that, do you happen to have his number??

just use the 800 number on the ads on the back of Amazing mag. or
wait a minute and i will get it for you. just a minute..

I took all my recient Amazings up to the boat and left them there
for reading. Thanks.

the number on the ad is 800 tk-amiga you will have to converet the
letters to digits. they also have a bbs at 406 367-abbs. too cutsie
with the letters....

Yes, A BBS indeeed!!! That was TKAMIGA (the 800 number?)

yes it was (800) TKAMIGA and the other ine is (406) 367-ABBS

Got them, thanks you very much.

i guess i need to send you some more of my 9000 series disks. do
you remember what the last one was i sent you???

Oh, no I forget, I have been swamped trying to get the bugs out of
my BBS after the last crash.

i hate crashes. had one at work last week. had good backups tho..

I havent even looked at july and AUG uploads yet!!!!

ok i will ul doubles for you so you only have to look in 2 for the
stuff i am uling.

OK , thanks load Jerry. got to get back to it.

ps are you going to Oakland show..

What show is in Oakland???

Amiexpo the first week in October..
Oh realy!!!! Seriously I didnt know. Not sure, probably, shouldnt
miss one so close by.

Amiga World has a two page ad.
I didnt notice it ( sheepish grin).

ok i hope to see ya there. oh by the way when can i rope you into
coming down to fresno for a club do...
oh, gee, I dont now, how about sometime next spring??

sure sounds good to me. guess i should let you get back to it....

I have scads of uploads to check, I realy should get down to Fresno
one day tho, keep after me OK??

sure willl. can you see files i upload by my name or do you have
to waid thru everything to get to the latest ul's...

Area 2 is perty empty. Area 1 is allways by date (last entered,
last displayed. so Should be no prob.

ok just look for the ones i ul tonite and i waiil put that other
one in area 2 for you.
for me nly , right!!! OKy epJerry, thanks again, and "holler" often!!!

ok will do and cut in when ever you see it's me... by
Bye now
